I really wanted to show a few quick examples but I had neglected to consider that a mini display port VGA adapter might be a useful thing to bring and unfortunately with Skills Matter being in the middle of an office move there wasn't one to hand. Luckily I was able to borrow a laptop so at least I could get my slides up on the projector.

Very interesting! If you get the chance to post some examples, I would read them with interest.
In the mean time you could grab the plugin from http://github.com/robfletcher/grails-selenium-rc there are a number of test examples (including most of what is on the slides) under test/projects/selenium-test and test/projects/selenium-with-spock that can simply be run with 'grails test-app -functional'
